BuyDaEarf privacy policy
Summary
BuyDaEarf is a local-first iPhone flashcard app. No BuyDaEarf account is required. The app does not include advertising or analytics SDKs and does not track users across apps or websites.
Information handled by the app
Decks, cards, study history, settings, and imported media are stored in the app’s sandbox on the user’s device. When an Apple iCloud account is available, BuyDaEarf uses Apple’s CloudKit service to sync decks, cards, media, and study progress through that user’s private CloudKit database. Sync requires network access; studying content already on the device does not.
The developer does not access, retrieve, or use users’ private CloudKit records. BuyDaEarf has no separate server logging, advertising, analytics, or telemetry pipeline that receives this content.
Third-party services and links
- Apple iCloud/CloudKit: optional platform service used for private synchronization under the user’s Apple account; Apple’s terms and privacy policy apply.
- AnkiWeb: BuyDaEarf can open AnkiWeb’s shared-decks webpage in the default browser at the user’s request. BuyDaEarf does not send the user’s library to AnkiWeb.
Retention and deletion
On-device data remains until the user deletes content, uses Erase All Data, or removes the app, subject to iOS backup behavior. Synced data may remain in the user’s private iCloud database according to Apple’s platform behavior. BuyDaEarf does not promise that Erase All Data immediately deletes every remote CloudKit record or every copy on another device.
BuyDaEarf creates no developer-operated account, so an app-account deletion request is not applicable.
Children
BuyDaEarf is a general-purpose study tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
